Anyway. Just wanted to share my awesome new chalkboard globe that my mom's boyfriend helped me finally make. Got the globe free from a nice lady who answered my craigslist wanted ad. <3 Process: Got it off the stand Sanded it & wiped it down with some paint thinner Hung it from the basement ceiling Spun it while holding down the nozzle on a can of chalkboard paint Let it dry & put it back on the stand INSTANT FUN and also useful for the fantasy/sci-fi writer who has trouble visualizing their world on a sphere as opposed to a flat map (which is what I'm using it for, mostly). |
